Organic chemistry: solid awakening.

چکیده
: C O d Indeed, its very existence also has implications for tackling much broader questions about how intracellular parasites evolved from algae, and whether the single origin of these plastids can be pushed even farther back in time to explain the origin of an even greater diversity of complex algae with red algal plastids, as proposed by the ‘chromalveolate hypothesis’. The discovery of an organism that falls at such an interesting junction in the tree of life happens only rarely, and this little brown ball will surely become the subject of a complete genome analysis soon after the ink of this commentary has dried. When it does, its genome will be a source of clues to many events that defined ancient evolutionary history. ■ Patrick J. متن کاملFrom polymer to small organic molecules: a tight relationship between radical chemistry and solid-phase organic synthesis.
Since Gomberg's discovery of radicals as chemical entities, the interest around them has increased through the years. Nowadays, radical chemistry is used in the synthesis of 75% of all polymers, inevitably establishing a close relationship with Solid-Phase Organic Synthesis. More recently, the interest of organic chemists has shifted towards the application of usual "in-solution" radical chemis...
متن کاملSynthesis of Different Copper Oxide Nano-Structures From Direct Thermal Decomposition of Porous Copper(ΙΙ) Metal-Organic Framework Precursors
Copper oxide nanostructures have been successfully synthesized via one-step solid-state thermolysis of two metal-organic frameworks, [Cu3(btc)2] (1) and [Cu(tpa).(dmf)] (2), (btc = benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate, tpa = therephtalic acid = 1,4-benzendicarboxylic acid and dmf = dimethyl formamide) under air atmosphere at 400, 500, and 600°C. It has also been found that the reaction temperature pla...
متن کاملPerspectives on moving ionic liquid chemistry into the solid phase.
Ionic liquid (IL) chemistry has evolved over the past century, such that these organic salts have impacted virtually every area of science and engineering. In the area of chemistry, initial applications of these salts were primarily the domain of chemists or chemical engineers who desired to manipulate the properties of IL solvents for a variety of applications including tuning various chemical...
